PORTRAIT SESSIONS

Are you interested in a portraits? No problem. We photograph your child, family, pets, or a combination of. We offer a studio location, “environmental portraits” in your home – or “on location” portraits in your backyard, pool, a local park, or the beach. The possibilities are almost endless.

Pricing for portrait sessions begins at $350. This fee includes consultation prior to the session, travel to the location, the photography session, creation and hosting of a web gallery of your images, (think of these as your "online proofs"), and a print package.

AFTER THE SHOOT

ONLINE DELIVERY

After your photo shoot, your images will be posted to an internet based web gallery. You will be given the address to view your images online, for evaluation and ordering.

WEB GALLERY

Please have a look at your web gallery. When you first open the gallery, you will see small images called thumbnails. When you click on the first image, it will become larger. Once you have the first image visible in the large size, you can use the arrows to scroll through all images at the larger size.

TAKE YOUR TIME, and look at the photos several times. Look for expression, and overall composition. Remember that your gallery serves as your proofs, and that adjustments to lightness and darkness, as well as contrast may be applied to the images before your prints are made.

If you can't decide, or feel overwhelmed, close the gallery and walk away. Come back later, and have another look.

When you have chosen the images that you're interested in ordering, please write down the IMAGE NUMBER, which appears under the image. DOUBLE CHECK that you have written down the correct number. We are not responsible for ordering errors if you tell us the wrong image number.

PRINTS

The standard print packages for portrait sessions are photographic prints produced on Fuji Crystal Archive Paper, which has been rated at 40 years by Wilhelm Imaging Research.

Additionally, I offer Giclee prints (you can read more about this below) which I produce in house on an archival pigment printer.

TYPES OF PRINTS

Once you have selected the images you are interested in, you must now give some thought to the type of prints you would like.

We offer two different types of prints. The first type is a professional grade photographic print. This is the type of photo print that you're probably most familiar with. All of our photographic prints are printed on FUJI CRYSTAL ARCHIVE photographic paper, for the optimum in color, quality, and longevity.

The second type of print is a fine art GICLEE (pronounced Zhee-Clay) print, produced in house using Epson Ultra-Chrome Archival inks, and various ARCHIVAL papers. A GICLEE print takes the photographic process one step farther, yielding a more unique version of the original photographic image. When choosing a GICLEE print, you have many options including, but not limited to: conversion of all or part of the image to Black and White or Sepia, selective colorization or de-colorization, and the application of painterly techniques, to either all or part the image, or selective areas. I suggest that you take a look at the SAMPLES page, to see some recently delivered images. GICLEE prints may be produced on either a SEMI-GLOSS surface, which yields the most vivid colors and greatest detail, MATTE surface paper, or a variety of WATERCOLOR papers, which offer more surface texture. (Some images will also reproduce nicely on a CANVAS finish, although this is not suitable for all images.) We will be happy to discuss how the different surfaces will work for your image(s).

PHOTOGRAPHIC PRINTS

Photographic prints are delivered either flat, or rolled, in a tube, unless matting/framing services are ordered. See below.

GICLEE PRINTS

Please note, GICLEE print sizes refer to the paper size, and not the image size. There will generally be some blank area around the image, unless otherwise discussed.  Giclee prints may also be printed on canvas.

GICLEE Print Prices

When ordering multiple GICLEE prints of the same image, you may deduct 20% off prints 2-5, and 25% off prints 6 and higher.
Giclee prints are delivered flat, in a white, archival window matte. Other matting options available upon request.

MATTING & FRAMING SERVICE is available.

We offer a variety of frame styles, as well as custom cut archival matte board. Contact us for pricing information, based on your needs.

PAYMENTS

All payments must be made PRIOR to the shipment of any printed materials. Currently, we are accepting payment via Paypal, checks and Money Orders. I stand behind the quality of all my work. If you are unsatisfied with your prints for any reason, you may request a refund, or offer me the opportunity to reprint them.
